Merely Lovely: Thanksgiving Edition

We loooooove Thanksgiving. Not just because of the food, either. It's an amazing day filled with people who love each other gathering around a table and celebrating the things that they are thankful for. The chilly fall air, the piles of red and yellow leaves, the noise of happy conversations (and a football game or two!), and the wonderful, soul-satisfying smells of a meal that's been cooking all day.



It's also a great time to pull together some autumnally-inspired decor, whether you fancy up just your table or your whole place. We thought we would share what we've been loving for Thanksgiving. All of these things can be made or found easily and add a little fall style for very little money- something we can definitely be thankful for!

 

Martha's modern table setting- we love the hurricanes filled with colorful leaves. If you follow the link, there are tons of great ideas for a Thanksgiving table on her website!

This is a sweet idea from Young House Love- strips of paper for people to write what they're thankful for. We would pass around the paper after the meal and have each person read what someone else wrote. Their blog also has some great Thanksgiving ideas!!

The painted pumpkins in this gorgeous table setting featured on Apartment Therapy's OhDeeDoh are so sculptural and modern- we can imagine them in a deep chocolate, too. Adding in lots of votives and some low flower arrangements would really bring it together. Great idea for a kid's table, too!!

Lastly, The Kitchn brings together lots of sources for gorgeous place cards. Although the price for the cards that they featured isn't in our budget, we think that with a little creativity, you can get inspired to make your own!! (The pumpkin ones are from Soft Day Studios on Etsy!)
