Monday Monday. It's most people's most-hated day o'the week, but for us Tiny Wallet people, it's the day we look forward to! Why? Because it's Menu Plan Monday- the day when we share our thrifty meal plan for the week. Once again, we're linking up with I'm An Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday!! Click on the banner to check out all of the awesome menu plans!
When you're on a budget, it's important to have a game plan and stick to it! One of our biggest money wasters has been going grocery shopping sans list or planned menu. Not having a list forces us to think up dinners at the store where we fall into the trap of buying a bunch of random ingredients (some of which we might already have) and hoping for the best. The result of this is that we end up spending more cash than we ordinarily would and we usually end up having to go back to the store for an extra something or another.
With that being said, how do you menu plan for the week? Do you use an online program like E-Mealz? Good old pen and paper? Google Calendars? Our "system" is always evolving, so we love hearing how other people do it! Happy menu planning!

Thanks, Lindsey! Oooh and I'm definitely stealing your cassoulet recipe from your last menu! It looks yum! We're trying to cut out dairy from our diet, so I'll definitely be checking back at Frugal Food Allergies for recipes! -Ally
