Hi Tiny Wallet Stylers! How was your weekend? Ours (as we mentioned in our Menu Plan Monday post) was absolutely wonderful.
Mike and I have been meaning to get over to IKEA for a while- we have a little notepad with running lists for each store we don't get to regularly: Michael's, Christmas Tree Shop, etc. When we have more than a few items on any list, we make a stop at that store. Most of the time it's not urgent things that we need, so it's okay if we wait a little while. We find that this technique prevents us from suffering from the "just need one thing" syndrome- we walk in with one thing in mind and walk out with a whole cart full of things that we just don't need.
So anyway, on this trip to IKEA, we're looking for:
Lyckhem Dining Table- $179.00.
Possibly one or two of these Tryta benches- at only $9.99 a pop, they would be great extra seating. We would paint them and add pillows and cushions to make them more comfy!
This Gilslev rug for the new office/guest room. $19.99 for a 6'x4' rug?! Does anyone have this- is it reasonably nice? We would be using it to cover up the ugly, scratchy rug that is already in there.
A pair of these adorable Eivor curtains for the office/guest room. It's a small room, so we're going to use gray/white as the main colors and then add fun splashes of color with accessories and art. They ring in at $14.99 for the pair!
We'll report back with all of the cute things we will inevitably bring back home with us :)

Outdoor Life
I've mentioned before how much I love our porch. It's a quiet little retreat from the city- green, breezy and relaxing. When I saw Gussy's Inspiration Workshop post for today, I just had to join! It's all about the porch!!!
I love to walk out here before cooking dinner and gather fresh herbs! We're growing thyme, rosemary and basil!
Our porch looks out onto our backyard and our neighbor's backyard- this is their gorgeous rose bush that has crawled up the fence that separates our yards! How lovely!
When we're having dinner on the porch, I can gaze down onto our thriving little garden! It's pretty nice to eat dinner with garden fresh veggies and see right where they grew!
Mike and I spend almost every night in the summer out on the porch. We catch up while dinner is cooking. We share a meal. We play board games while the sun goes down. We listen to music out there. We enjoy time with friends. We have a cup of coffee on lazy weekend mornings. We discuss the important and the mundane. We celebrate and we problem solve. Sometimes, we just sit together and hold hands. It's our little place and I love every moment we spend on our little porch.

Imagining A Room of My Own
Thanks to my beloved Pinterest, I've been having some fun imagining a room of my own- an office/craft room/reading nook.
All of my craft supplies stacked in neat little shelves.

A whole sewing table to spread out my projects on. (via)
A great, happy little desk for my computer to rest on. (via)
And a comfy little nook for me to get lost in a great book or do some writing. Ahhh doesn't this look wonderful??

What I Love Wednesday
This week is all about the color white. Is white a color? Whatever it is, it's lovely in the summer. As the hot weather approaches, I get the craving for everything in our little house to disappear and be replaced by a clean, white and breezy space. Like a spa. Wouldn't that be nice?
Here is what I'm loving this week (linking up with Lollipop's WILW!)

Urban Wild
Hello friends! I was perusing photos from this past weekend and thought I should share this wonderful walk. If you're local to Boston, you should check all of the different parts of the Harborwalk. This section, in East Boston is called the Condor Street Urban Wild. It's a nice little area to detour to if you're in the 'hood. Check it out:

A Little Eye Candy- For the Bedroom
Oh hello! I'm hanging out enjoying the gorgeousness that is our weather today! Knowing that we're moving is getting me in daydream mode- I'm constantly scheming room layouts and furniture re-do's for our new space. Here's what's getting me all hot and bothered lately:
1. Our current bedroom stores nearly all of our "stuff", so I'm dreaming of a calm environment with minimal decoration. (via)
2. This is a great article on making your bedroom more sleep friendly: wouldn't you sleep sooo well in this gorgeous bedroom? (via)
3. I super love this as a headboard. We have a huge stack of pallet wood just waiting for this.....(via)
4. So bright and clean. Snoooooooozzzeeeeeee (in the best way possible). (via)

How Are Things Growing?
We have sprouts! We have sprouts! Woohoo. All that rain was a great drink for our little garden, because all of our seeds have sprouted. I had kind of given up on planting from seed, because I didn't see anything growing for over two weeks, but my patience was rewarded. Check it out:
Pea shoots
I have no idea what the spindly things are- the green shoot in the front are beans!
Romaine lettuce!
Parsley that somehow came back from last year.
These flowering plants came back from last year! Woohoo.
Today, we're planting some tomato seedlings from our sweet neighbors, some basil and some cucumber and pumpkin seedlings.

My Gym
As you may have inferred from my previous posts (or if you live here), the weather has not been great in Boston. A solid week of rainy, gray, overcast weather. My body was craving sunshine, so this morning I decided to make the most of the warm weather and get outside for a workout. My favorite place to run is the East Boston Harborwalk, which is conveniently located about 1 minute from my front door. Lucky me! I snapped some photos so you could check it out!
The tall building (A Hyatt hotel) marks the end of the Harborwalk.
What a view! We have a yacht club, too. Fancy!
Logan Airport is located directly behind these buildings. You can't tell at all!
The landscaping is so gorgeous.
There are two tennis courts and a basketball court at the beginning of the Harborwalk. Super convenient, with a great view to boot!
What do you love most about your neighborhood?

What I Love Wednesday
Hi all! I had a lovely time linking up to the fabulous <3Lollipops' What I Love Wednesday, so I'm doing it again!
1) These super cheerful Gabrielle Rocha rainboots. They're so necessary this week- we're expected to get rain every day this week here in Boston! Oh, and they're on sale!!!
2) These super springy pillows from Annalea Hart! Super love. Now I need ric-rac. And ribbon. Lots of ribbon.
4) Mrs. Meyer's Lemon Verbena dish soap. It makes doing the dishes feel like a little vacation. Mmmm.
What are you loving this week? Is the gray and rainy weather drawing you to lots of bright and sassy colors, too? Xo!

Cold Turkey
Happy Tuesday! Oh my how I love how much spring is springing in our neck of the woods! I think that after a New England winter, the colors of spring are so astonishing- every single year. I always think "it wasn't this gorgeous last year!".
Speaking of spring, here's a springy salad I had for lunch yesterday- it was so yummy! All I want to eat lately is salad + protein. Maybe this is a signal that my body is working out it's insulin issues? I'm not craving sugar as fiercely as I did a few months ago. Wooooooo!
Toasted whole wheat bread, cracked pepper turkey, baby spinach. Salad greens, herb goat cheese and 1/2 of a Fuji apple. Oil, lemon juice and cider vinegar. And some homemade pickles. Mmmm.
This lunch satisfies all of my cravings- tangy vinaigrette, crunchy apples and toast, creamy goat cheese, sweet apple. Oh, and it's pretty healthy too!
